Where I've been lately

Trekking around apartment-hunting, making small talk with brokers so they like us, negotiating job offers, tripping on cobblestones, picking up caps & gowns & hoods, eating too much, exercising not enough, cleaning my apartment for the 25 people scheduled to come for lunch tomorrow, seeing more apartments, trying to fathom how people could live in such places, trying to fathom if I could live in such a place, hearing that A. plans to spend 4 weeknights with her boyfriend at our apartment and weekend nights at his, being dumbstruck, feeling suckered, wondering if I should look for a studio, wondering if I will be homeless when my lease ends, feeling newfound compassion for the homeless, looking at more apartments, wandering the aisles of Whole Foods looking for TrueLemon to no avail, getting in a fight with Whole Foods customer service, seeing more apartments, making more small talk with brokers, trolling Craigslist, stepping in dog poop accidentally.
